Introducing the "SureSeal" Technology: Revolutionising Radiator Valve Sealing
When it comes to radiator valves, a tight and secure seal is paramount. That's why we're proud to introduce our "SureSeal" technology — a feature that sets our products apart and offers customers an unmatched sealing solution.
What Makes "SureSeal" Unique?
The standout feature of the "SureSeal" is its cone-shaped EPDM rubber construction. The taper on this specialised rubber cone, is designed to compress snugly against the bush end of a radiator, ensuring a superior seal every time.
Traditionally, valves connect to radiators using a metal connector, often called a "radiator tail," made of steel or brass. This connection uses lots of PTFE tape or hemp & paste to make sure the joint seals and stays dry. Both of those methods are slow and can look messy. However, with our new rubber cone seal, you can achieve a tight fit fast, with no mess. This ensures a secure seal and avoids costly leaks.
Why "SureSeal"?
At its core, our naming choice for "SureSeal" reflects its primary strength — ensuring a secure seal. This isn't just a feature; it's our promise to you, our valued customer. The "SureSeal" isn’t merely a name; it’s our unique selling point that highlights our commitment to quality and reliability. When you see "SureSeal," you know you're getting a product that stands tall against competitors.
What is EPDM Rubber?
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber is a type of synthetic rubber that is primarily derived from ethylene and propylene. It has specific characteristics that make it an excellent choice for a variety of applications, especially those requiring resistance to weather, UV and water. Here's a breakdown of its properties and reasons for its superiority in water sealing:
UV Resistance: EPDM rubber doesn't degrade under UV radiation as rapidly as many other materials, making it an excellent choice for applications where it will be exposed to sunlight.
Water and Steam Resistance: EPDM displays exceptional resistance to water and steam. This property alone makes it a popular choice for heating applications where a watertight seal is crucial.
Temperature Flexibility: EPDM maintains its flexibility over a wide temperature range. It can tolerate temperatures as low as -40°C and as high as 150°C. This temperature flexibility ensures that EPDM seals remain effective in both freezing conditions and in high-temperature environments.
Elasticity and Recovery: EPDM can be stretched and deformed, but it has a high degree of “memory” and can return to its original shape, which is essential for a sealing material.
A Seal for the Future: Ramone Valve Range
We're always innovating, and our newly updated Ramone valve range is the latest to benefit from the "SureSeal" technology. This seal guarantees an optimised fit between the coupler and the valve, minimising the risk of leaks.
Beyond Ramone
Our commitment to excellence doesn't stop with the Ramone. The hallmark rubber o-ring of the "SureSeal" technology can also be found on our latest finishes in our Duran series of valves - with more to come!
It's an embodiment of our promise to deliver tight-fitting, leak-preventing solutions across our product range.
In conclusion, our " SureSeal" technology is more than just a name; it's a testament to our dedication to providing you with top-tier radiator valves. Trust in the seal, and enjoy peace of mind with every installation.
